YWCA Metro St. Louis, St. Louis Cardinals, and Joe Torre Safe At Home Continue Partnership to Raise Awareness of Domestic and Sexual Violence

St. Louis, Missouri | June 16, 2025 — YWCA Metro St. Louis was proud to join the St. Louis Cardinals and the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation on June 15 at Busch Stadium for the second year of a partnership focused on raising awareness of domestic and sexual violence and connecting individuals with critical resources and support.

This meaningful collaboration brings together a legendary team, a national leader in violence prevention, and the region’s largest provider of services for survivors. Together, we are using our voices and platforms to send a powerful message: everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered.

Fans attending the game had the opportunity to connect with representatives from YWCA Metro St. Louis to learn more about healthy relationships, violence prevention, and resources available to those impacted by abuse.

“This partnership is about more than a single event—it’s about creating lasting pathways to support,” said Dr. Cheryl Watkins, President and CEO of YWCA Metro St. Louis. “When community leaders, professional sports organizations, and service providers unite around a common goal, we can reach more people with resources, education, and hope. We’re grateful to continue this partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation for a second year and to see its impact extend beyond game day through greater awareness and access to support.”

The partnership continues to create a lasting impact beyond game day. As part of the collaboration, YWCA Metro St. Louis’s 24/7 Crisis Help Line remains posted in all women’s and family restrooms throughout Busch Stadium, ensuring that life-saving information is accessible to those who may need it most.

Founded by Joe and Ali Torre, the Safe At Home Foundation works to end the cycle of violence through prevention education and youth-focused programming. Their mission complements YWCA Metro St. Louis’s comprehensive services for survivors, including crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and transitional housing.

Together, YWCA Metro St. Louis, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation are demonstrating how collaboration can help build safer communities and create pathways to hope and healing for survivors and their families.
