Head Start and Early Head Start are federally and state-funded programs that provide high-quality education, child care, and family support to income-eligible families.

As the largest Head Start grantee in the St. Louis area, the YWCA Early Education Program strives to be recognized as an exemplary Early Childhood Education program.
We provide services to more than 1,400 preschool-aged children and more than 200 infants and toddlers. With ten YWCA Early Childhood Education Centers, as well as 13 Child Care Partner Centers throughout St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, a center is not far from you and your family.
All of our locations are licensed by the Missouri Department of Health-Bureau of Child Care Safety and Licensure and accredited by Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth.
