YWCA Metro St. Louis recently hosted the Regional Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Awards, recognizing the individuals, organizations, and community partners dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence throughout the St. Louis region.
The event celebrated the collaborative efforts of advocates, nurses, law enforcement professionals, volunteers, and community leaders who work together to provide compassionate, survivor-centered crisis response services. Through coordinated partnerships, the Regional SART initiative helps ensure survivors receive immediate support, advocacy, and access to critical resources during times of crisis.
During remarks to the media, Samantha Wayant, Senior Director of Women’s Services at YWCA Metro St. Louis, highlighted the importance of standing together in support of survivors and honoring those committed to this work every day.
