YWCA Metro St. Louis Young Ambassadors – young women making a mark
YWYA is a community of young professional women ages 22 – 39 who support YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. For an annual dues fee of $30, members are given the opportunity to network with other young professionals, as well as leaders in the community.
YWYA provides a greater understanding of YWCA programs and services among the young adult population in the St. Louis area, while hosting group fundraisers and aiding in existing agency events. This is done through the group’s three subcommittees:
- Community – In charge of coordinating volunteer activities and event participation outside YWCA (typically with partner organizations);
- Development – In charge of hosting fundraisers for YWCA, growth activities for the group, and coordinating participation within YWCA for its programs and major events; and
- Social – In charge of planning group activities for to strengthen relationships within YA, including happy hours, brunches, trivia nights, and more.
