CANCELLED: St. Louis Regional Early Childhood Education & Workforce Task Force

The Regional Childcare and Workforce Task Force Convening and Summit has been cancelled.

We wish to thank our planning committee and partners for your time, recognition and commitment to solve a problem that is deeply and adversely impacting our region and the nation.

As a human services agency, and childcare and early education provider operating with a deficit of staff and to the detriment of hundreds of unserved children, YWCA responded to an urgent need to address this crisis, gathering great minds and organizations across many industries to help devise an innovative solution to the alarming lack of childcare for families and our regional workforce.

The goal of the planned Task Force and subsequent Regional Summit was to create a collaborative regional response and strategy to address the childcare crisis. At this time, we believe further work and conversations among stakeholder groups must take place to ensure all in the group are aligned and prepared to move forward, so we are cancelling the Task Force and Summit.

Although we will no longer lead this effort, we ask that you continue your willingness to support all efforts to improve childcare in the St. Louis Region. Again, please accept our deepest gratitude for your willingness to get to work on this critical issue.
