YWCA Metro St. Louis was founded in 1904 to provide safe housing and resources to those who came to the city to work at the World’s Fair. Today, we are still here — not just for a moment of crisis, but for the full journey toward stability and opportunity.
In just 36 hours, your support helps individuals and families take the first step on a pathway to upward economic mobility. Our services meet people where they are and walk with them toward where they’re going: crisis intervention and housing for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, Head Start and Early Head Start education that gives children a strong start, and career readiness and economic empowerment programs that build lasting stability. We are the only agency in the region that provides holistic, wraparound services that sustain clients along the way — rent and utility assistance, transportation, childcare, food, and housing. From crisis to stability to opportunity, we see stable families, healthy children, and thriving communities.
On behalf of the nearly 10,000 individuals and families we serve annually, thank you for helping change a life in just 36 hours.
